- Perform daily check of assigned wells and production locations.
- Strives to optimize production on assigned wells
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on surface production equipment with limited supervision.
- Keep daily records of gas and water produced volumes, pressures and maintenance performed on wells.
- May be required to work overtime and some NIGHTS, weekends and holidays.
- Duties carried out in accordance with SWN Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, as well as, regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and understand their role as a member of the team.
- Must be able to work by yourself, be self-motivated and able to prioritize work effectively.
- Demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn the job duties of a Field Operator.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
- Incorporate and develop strong computer skills and software use as required by the position.
- Encompasses the understanding and development of Southwestern Energy corporate goals and fully embodies “The Right People Doing the Right Things” at all times by behaving accordingly
- Develop knowledge of gathering, interpretation, and transmission of pertinent data.
- Works diligently toward the achievement of team goals.
- Develop working understanding of artificial lift systems, electronic controls, and other equipment associated with the well site.
- Record and submit all well data in software program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some experience as a Field Operator preferred (change field operator to production experience)
- Valid Driver's License required (CDL preferred)
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office Products
- Occasionally Lift / Carry weights to 50 lbs
- Occasionally Push / Pull weights to 50 lbs
- Squatting / Bending / Kneeling / Stair climbing / Reaching / Twisting
- Stand / Walk for intermittent periods
- Sit for extended periods
- Ability to drive long distances in remote areas
- Ability to work at heights 30 ft. above ground
- Valid Driver's License required
- Strong computer skills especially Microsoft Office Products (Excel)
- Experience/knowledge of Well surveillance tools such as P2, Well view, Cygnet, WeDat, EU, Share Point

Southwestern Energy is looking for a Field Operator to join our Production Team located in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania area.
This is an entry level position at the Field Operator Position. As a Field Operator I you will be required to go through a training program to ensure you are ready to work at this position safely before being released to work on you own. This position includes doing daily checks on all equipment on a well pad, recording daily well information into a SWN software program, minor repairs to production equipment, and keeping wells flowing at target rates. The position requires working outside in all types of weather. You will be mostly working on your own on a daily basis and may require working occasional overtime, weekends and holidays. You will be required to follow SWN policies and procedures.
