Job Description
- Req#: R13075
- System installation, diagnose and repair of reactive gas generators, optical gas analyzers and mass spectrometry equipment and troubleshooting of electromechanical subassemblies.
- Maintain operational functionality of scientific and industrial vacuum equipment.
- Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the systems.
- Serves as company interface with customer and factory on administrative and technical matters.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Other duties may be assigned and could include shift, weekend and on-call coverage.
- USA and International travel is a requirement for customer support and for training on our products.
- Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree and/or applicable Certification is preferred. - 5+ years of related practical experience
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical and optical systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities, self-manage, and schedule working time with minimal supervision
- High degree of proficiency of PC skills including MS office, SAP, and data analysis applications
- Ability to travel up to between 50% and 80% of the time. This typically involves travel to a customer site during a normal business week
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent communication and computer skills (MSOffice).

- Experience with Semiconductor equipment would be an advantage.
- Ability to travel internationally in support of MKS Instruments installations and applications, as well as training on our products, may be required.
- Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination

We are looking for an exceptional Field Service Engineer covering high tech production systems, lasers, motion stages and vacuum products of MKS Instruments. The primary focus of this position is the support of our vacuum products for scientific and industrial applications, mainly in Phoenix, Arizona.
