      Job Title: Field Service Engineer


      Job Description

      The Mechatronics Field Service Engineer will assess, troubleshoot, fix, and reprogram Tire Machines at customer sites around the world. As part of a Global Field Service team of approximately 80 engineers, the individual must be willing to travel internationally 150-200 days a year. The recommended travel schedule is 4-6 weeks in the field followed by 2 weeks off.

      Responsibilities

      • Conduct machine inspections using Maintenance Management tools and report the machine's status.
      • Advise the service coordinator on possible upgrades and improvements to Maintenance Management Tools.
      • Maintain equipment and train customers on maintenance procedures.
      • Provide training to customers using provided documentation.
      • Engage in self-training by helping build and test new equipment at our factory.
      • Install equipment and upgrades in the field to stay current with new developments.
      • Be available for customer visits if remote service fails.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience in industrial automation for at least 3 years.
      • Proficiency in PLC programming (specifically Allen Bradley and/or Siemens).
      • Knowledge of servo systems and HMIs.
      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Willingness to travel internationally 150-200 days a year.
      • Relevant Engineering Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation, Controls, or an Electrical Certification.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in electronics and industrial automation.
      • Skills in controls engineering and commissioning.

      Work Environment

      Work will be conducted in tire factories, plants, and offices. The role offers the opportunity to travel and see the world, gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art machines, and earn unlimited overtime.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

      VMI Covered:
      Pays out based on Unum’s calculated percentage
