      Job Description

      The Details

      This role reports into the Senior Finance Analyst in the Core Costs & Capex team within Financial Accounting (FA). The role focuses on the reporting of the financial performance of the business. Key responsibilities are delivering accurate monthly actuals in a timely manner, preparing and optimising balance sheet reconciliations and supporting a wide array of stakeholders at different levels of the organisation with insights whilst helping to drive finance initiatives.

      Qualifications

      About You

      Financial Accounting

      • Play a key part in planning & delivering monthly actuals, including monthly meetings, posting accruals and prepayments, analysing variances between actuals and forecasts/prior periods & cost schedules
      • Responsible for recording professional fees, facility costs, travel costs, payroll and other business part-nering entries along with reviewing GRNI posting for aged balances
      • Produce monthly reporting in a timely and accurate manner, updating the Finance Manager on key highlights and trends
      • Collaborating closely with the wider Finance function and other stakeholders throughout the business
      • Support finance team on current initiatives and any ad hoc projects identified

      Financial Control

      • Preparing and optimising balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with re-porting standards
      • Assisting in the successful delivery of interim and year-end audits ensuring all documentation pro-vided is delivered in a timely manner and to auditable standard
      • Updating applicable accounting policies and process notes along with identifying any control weak-nesses to management

      We’d love to meet, someone with…

      • Part way through an accounting qualification (preferably CIMA or ACCA).
      • A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
      • A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
      • Advanced skills in Excel.
      • A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
      • An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
      • An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
      • Commercial awareness.
