      About the role

      We've created a new role in our Finance team to take responsibility for preparing financial analysis and spreadsheet models for all areas of the business. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Analyst, you'll work closely with the Group Forecasting Manager, Head of Finance and the CFO- it's a great opportunity to gain exposure to high-level financial analysis and decision making in a FTSE 250 business.

      This is a highly analytical role so you'll need to skills to develop and maintain complex financial models as well as understand the commercial levers that drive different parts of our multi-service business.

      What you'll do

      You will be responsible for preparing and developing the commercial models across the business in Excel, liaising directly with senior commercial colleagues. You will also have the opportunity to assist the Group Forecasting Manager with Group forecasting.

      About you

      • Financial modelling experience in Excel, building complex and bespoke commercial models. This experience will be likely to have been gained in the modelling department of a professional advisory firm, or within the business analysis department of a company.
      • A commercial approach with an ability and desire to understand the drivers of the business in detail, and model the underlying dynamics accurately.
      • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with people at all levels of the organisation.
      • Be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive in measures taken to achieve responsibilities, particularly driving consistent improvements to analysis and decision-making.
      • Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and focus.
      • Crucially, a self-starter with an appetite to be hands-on.
