      (HE07) $95,017 to $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

      Fixed term, full time position available until September 2024 (maternity leave backfill), with possible extension.

      The Financial Accountant is integral in the delivery of integrated, outcome- oriented financial services to Schools across the Faculty, by providing high-level financial support and advice.

      Reporting to the Manager Financial & Research Accounting and working closely with the designated Portfolios. Working under limited direction with a degree of autonomy, the Financial & Research Accountant is responsible for delivering a range of financial reporting and research accounting to assist with the successful delivery of Finance objectives.

      Position is co- located across various schools within the campus’s and corporate offices.

      To be successful you will need:

      • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a range of financial, management and research accounting including the provision of specialist financial advice to key stakeholders.
      • Demonstrated experience in the management of finances within a large and complex organisation with diverse business areas including undertaking detailed accounting and financial analysis to prepare reports, using data from a variety of information sources.
      • Experience in the use and development of financial modelling and analysis supporting business planning, and in managing high level projects or investigations that support the delivery of sound accounting solutions.
      • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, applying effective problem solving skills, and being innovative and creative in generating solutions.
      • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
