      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate. This position will be responsible for recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions, as well as preparing and reviewing financial statements.


      In this role, you will:

      • Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions.

      • Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports.

      • Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports.

      • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy.

      • Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies.

      • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.


      Required Qualifications:

      • 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


      Desired Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s/ Post-graduate in Accounting or Finance.

      • Cash Management/Treasury experience preferred.

      • Familiarity with payment applications and payments process desired.

      • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

      • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Excel.

      • Successfully operate in a time sensitive, fast-paced work environment

      • PeopleSoft Treasury Workstation, Commercial Electronic Office or comparable ERP payment system experience

      • General Accounting Tools/Systems experience (i.e., Controller’s Web, IrisWeb, OracleGL).

      • Excellent written and inter-personal skills.
