About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate. This position will be responsible for recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions, as well as preparing and reviewing financial statements.

In this role, you will:

Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions.
Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports.
Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports.
Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy.
Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/ Post-graduate in Accounting or Finance.
Cash Management/Treasury experience preferred.
Familiarity with payment applications and payments process desired.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Excel.
Successfully operate in a time sensitive, fast-paced work environment
PeopleSoft Treasury Workstation, Commercial Electronic Office or comparable ERP payment system experience
General Accounting Tools/Systems experience (i.e., Controller’s Web, IrisWeb, OracleGL).
Excellent written and inter-personal skills.
