      Job Description:

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      As an important member of our Finance team, you will:

      • Assist with monthly financial accounting, including preparing journal entries related to corporate matters
      • Provide support for month-end tasks to produce monthly results for Business Units
      • Assist with reconciling intercompany transactions
      • Prepare intercompany and departmental allocations
      • Prepare account reconciliations including bank, prepaid, and fixed assets on a monthly basis
      • Provide support and prepare required information for government surveys, sales tax returns, etc.
      • Participate in special projects and ad hoc assignments as required

      JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Possess an Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree with preference given to those enrolled in a professional designation program
      • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience working in a Finance/Accounting role
      • Strong fundamental accounting knowledge
      • Proficient in MS Office Excel
      • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, adjust, and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
      • Possesses strong time management skill
      • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management
      • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
