- Undertaking competitive analysis of Investment Banking businesses, analysing front office key performance indicators.
- Assessing ‘right size’ of expense and headcount across support functions.
- Helping clients understand the relationship between financial performance and pay as well as appropriate funding rates.
- Providing clients with practical advice on efficiency levers such as location strategy, organisational design, automation etc.
- End to end ownership of client engagements and execution of assigned projects across the front office and functions.
- Working across multiple clients, sourcing and validating data, building insights and crafting deliverables with practical takeaways.
- Leading presentations of results with senior stakeholders.
- Taking a broader leadership role across the team, including developing and nurturing existing talent within the team.
- Assisting with business development efforts including building the opportunity pipeline, client pitches, client proposals, pipeline tracking, white papers and market research.
- Assisting with the expansion of the business into new industry verticals such as Technology and Life Sciences, developing and scaling new offerings.
- Collaborating with commercial leads and educating internal stakeholders on our offering.
- Supporting broader Aon United initiatives by collaborating with other Aon teams both within and outside of Human Capital Solutions, on relevant topics.
Financial Benchmarking Consultant
The Gauge practice undertakes financial benchmarking engagements to help clients in banking improve productivity and efficiency in the front office and group functions. Our team is split across London, New York and India and typically deliver projects to Group CXOs, heads of business, heads of functions and heads of strategy globally. The Gauge practice sits within our Performance & Analytics business, which is part of Aon Human Capital Solutions division.

What the day will look like
This is a commercially focused role with direct client facing responsibilities. The candidate will ideally have exposure to the Banking industry, transformation/strategy/benchmarking consulting experience or proven understanding of financial statements analysis and experience interacting with clients.
The nature of client engagements provides the role holder with an opportunity to develop an outstanding perspective across the industry and gain exposure some of the most senior stakeholders in the Global Banking industry, and our work is frequently presented to group and/or line of business CEOs and CFOs.

We are looking to recruit either at Director or Senior Consultant level. The role will be pivotal in supporting our global client base with a particular focus on UK, EMEA and APAC.
