We are looking for a Financial Controller!

As a Financial Controller of one of our hotels, we rely on you to:

• Report Assistant Vice President – Finance to oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to Owning company and management company, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures set up the Owning company and/or Management Company.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the hotel.
• In partnership with Finance Shared Services Centre, maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, and petty cash.
• Oversee the hotel's budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
• Work with department heads to plan and manage hotel operational budgets and conduct reviews to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the hotel's assets.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the hotel.
• Analyse cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
• Analyse financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas
• Any other ad-hoc business assignments.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA).
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Experience of ERPs like ORACLE, SAP and SUN will be a plus.
