- Interpreting and articulating regulation, statute and conduct matters in business context, delivering complex information in a way that is simple and easy to understand.
- Keeping up to date with changes in regulation and legislation, being able to articulate its impact on San UK and possesses strong understanding in more than one policy area
- Supporting the production of operational plans for their business area and has a good understanding of how the department’s goals fit into the wider functional strategy
- Providing expertise to internal senior stakeholders and will influence as well as work in partnership with other functions and business areas to ensure adherence to relevant policies and frameworks.
- Planning the production of policy documents and supporting materials to a high quality in line with San UK Standards Provides advice, innovative solutions and creative thinking to help project teams deliver objectives in line with regulatory expectations
- Representing the team on key committees such a business risk or project working groups and might be expected to manage people
- Experience of working in Financial Crime across different aspects of financial services / financial markets
- Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of UK financial services, industry trends and best practice
- Experience of policy drafting in a Compliance environment
- Ability to apply commerciality and judgement from a regulatory perspective to internal and market information
- Ability to analyse and evaluate complex issues and sound judgement in determining appropriate actions/solutions
- Excellent analytical, interpretation, influencing and communication skills
- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
- 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year

As a Financial Crime Manager CCB you will provide part of CCB Financial Crime Oversight Team. You will work alongside colleagues and teams across CCB, the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (FC CoE) and Santander UK (Line 2 Financial Crime, Technology and Operations). You will be responsible for building, maintaining and managing relationships between CCB and the FC Centre of Excellence, ensuring a 4E (Efficient, Economic, Effective and Ethical) financial crime approach is adhered to.
