Job Name: Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst
Job Reports To: Director of Finance/Controller
Department: Finance
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. Some work from home flexibility; however, you must live in the Middle TN area and not out of state.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Finance/Controller, the Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst will play a key role in the reporting and analysis of company financial results along with tracking against budget and other key performance indicators. This position will provide relevant reporting and analysis to assure management has the information and tools needed to properly track company performance and guide future planning decisions. Responsibilities include:
• Work closely with Director of Finance/Controller in assuring results are accurately presented, adequately analyzed and explained for the various business units
• Create, maintain and provide timely and accurate financial reports including financial statements, key performance indicators and other reported financial information
• Use report writing tool to build standard financial reports for monthly financial reporting package to management
• Create dashboards in accounting software
• Confirm proper data migration from accounting software to financial reporting software
• Assist in analyzing trends in revenue, expenses and key performance indicators
• Integrate operational data with internal financial reporting
• Providing detailed ad hoc reports and analysis to business unit leader, as needed
• Assist in periodic reforecasting of financial results
• Support in compiling and preparation of the annual budget and long-range planning
• Assist in annual audit
• Preparing information for reporting to external stakeholders
• Implement efficient processes regarding financial reporting
• Assist in other financial functions within the department as needed
Internal Relationships: Finance team, department, and executive management
Requirements

• Data analysis using Microsoft Excel
• Ability to solve problems through critical thinking

• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience / Knowledge:
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Prior financial reporting experience a plus
Education / Other:
• Accounting degree preferred but not required
• CPA preferred but not required
• Previous financial report or accounting experience required if candidate does not have an accounting degree or CPA designation
Work Conditions:
• Working in downtown Nashville office at least two days per week
