Job Summary:
Representatives are client-facing customer service professionals who work in a team environment assisting Merrill clients with financial transactions and inquiries relating to retirement and benefit plans. Non-licensed candidates will be expected to obtain FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination (SIE), Series 7 Top-Off and Series 63 licenses within 240 days.

The Retirement & Benefits Investment Specialist is a foundational role designed to prepare you for your long-term career growth with Bank of America and Merrill. Preparation for the role starts with best-in-class training; along with hands on practice and personalized coaching to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that you will need to be successful. As a Retirement & Benefits Investment Specialist, you will work in a phone-based environment from a Merrill Contact Center. Your responsibilities include a focus on servicing corporate-sponsored retirement and benefit plans (e.g., defined contribution, defined benefit, non-qualified deferred compensation, and equity award service plans) by providing exceptional client care, growing client relationships, and guiding clients with needs-based solutions that will support their financial goals. The exposure, ongoing support, and feedback that you will receive from leaders, managers and peers will help you determine the best roles and career paths to empower you to achieve your professional goals.
Successful applicants who have already passed the SIE exam at the time of offer may be eligible for a $2500 bonus, in accordance with terms and conditions set forth in the offer letter.
You must achieve your SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 licensing with 240 days of your start date. You will achieve this through scheduled study time, in depth online resources and on-site coaching and support.
The Licensing Program provides you with the coaching and guidance that you’ll need to successfully obtain your industry licenses (Security Industry Essentials SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 licensing). These credentials along with your demonstrated determination and client focus, may allow you to advance into many roles within Bank of America and Merrill.
