What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and analyze public policy themes and developments that present actionable investment opportunities
- Provide timely, forward-looking analysis of risks and opportunities affecting companies and sectors
- Publish research reports on public policy and legal developments
- Host events and conference calls with subject-matter experts
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence research projects under tight deadlines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience analyzing, writing, and presenting on public policy developments in financial services and housing
- Strong ability to communicate complex information effectively
- Prior relevant experience in financial services and housing policy, ideally in institutional investment research or government
- Knowledge of and interest in financial markets
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in public policy or economics, JD, MBA, or CFA (or equivalent)
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to contribute to the growth of the policy research business
