What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support, assessment, and coordination of accounting and administrative functions for the Department of Pathology & Microbiology
- Assist senior management with the administration of financial operations, including complex accounting and billing work
- Serve as a liaison with internal departments and external entities
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information
- Contribute to the development of efficient office operations within the department

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial role with an emphasis on analysis skills, compliance, and/or auditing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2 or more years of experience in a financial role with a focus on billing, analysis skills, compliance, and/or auditing
- Experience working in a medical or academic setting
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or working towards certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SAP, and eShop
- Ability to learn data mining skills and techniques using various database systems
