Job Description

- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.
- Certificate 2/3 in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
TasFire Equipment
TasFire Equipment sells and services essential fire equipment such as hose reels, fire extinguishers, fire blankets and smoke alarms. Our team of Fire Equipment Officers across the state assists businesses in making sure that their fire protection equipment is able to do its job in a fire emergency.
Hours per Fortnight

Additional Allowance
This position is classified as a Fire Equipment Officer Level 1, 2 or 3 as defined in the Tasmanian Fire Service TasFire Equipment Industrial Agreement 2013.
The position is remunerated in line with the Tasmanian State Service Award, plus an additional 6% allowance.
Duties
Provide advice, sales and maintenance services in relation to fire protection equipment throughout Tasmania in accordance with relevant legislation, codes and standards.
