What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Commit to Performance Based Organization (PBO) and Easy To Do Business With (ETDBW) philosophy
- Contact borrowers via telephone, mail, and email to establish payment arrangements for outstanding delinquencies
- Determine the most appropriate plan of action to resolve past due accounts using strong negotiation skills
- Provide pertinent account information to educate borrowers on the seriousness of their financial issues
- Update borrower accounts with demographic and additional information via the servicing system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service, collection, or general work experience
- Strong oral communication and listening comprehension skills
- Intermediate math skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in PC skills and 10-key operation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a collections environment or financial services sector
- Familiarity with Performance Based Organization (PBO) principles
- Advanced analytical skills to assess borrower situations
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle difficult conversations
- Previous experience in a role requiring negotiation skills
