!*!!*!Reports to Director of LVC Retail Shops. Conditions flowers for retail sales. Prepares flower arrangements for sale in the hospital's Flower Shop.Conditions and transports flower materials. Assures vitality of flowers in refrigerated storage and selling floor, notes poor quality to Retail Manager. Maintains flower and floral stock supplies. Cleans and takes care of open stock and plants in Flower Shop or production area.
Responsible for cash in own register. Runs registers. Accepts monies and returns correct change.Cashes-out at end of shift to ensure register drawer balances with tape amount. Provides quick, accurate and complete transactions. Counts and balances daily sales receipts. Processes credit card transactions.Creates floral arrangements. Keeps track of each arrangement's cost to produce for sales records; notes total cost. Deliver arrangements. Give plant care to departmental offices as necessary.Responds to customer questions and assists with sales. Keeps Retail Manager informed of customer requests. Fills phone orders. Assists with sales. Assists customers with Dry Cleaning services. Creates balloon bouquets.Assists in keeping shop, workroom and stock room clean; maintains suppliesWorks with volunteersAssists with inventory biannuallyDuring peak times, may be asked to assist in other areas of the General Store. Other duties as assigned.One year floral arranging experience in floral shop, or floral program certificate and 6 months retail experience
