What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the Bread for Life Co-op is fully prepared before shoppers arrive and assist co-op members during shopping hours
- Process food donations, including unloading, recording weights, sorting, and storing donations properly
- Maintain proactive organization and cleanliness throughout the co-op and its facilities
- Drive a company vehicle to pick up donations from local stores and other locations
- Assist with inventory tracking to determine immediate and future needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Mission-oriented with values aligned with those of the employer
- Valid Illinois driver's license with the ability to load and unload supplies up to 75 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent organizational and public relations skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and perform basic data entry

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and email communication
