- Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns.
- Recommend the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems.
- Make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems.
- Perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
- Follow all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies.
- Document each service call and provide necessary paperwork.
- Observe all safety procedures and ensure hazardous waste is properly disposed.
- Maintain the company service vehicles in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free manner, including performing regular maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Secure and maintain service and parts inventory in the company service vehicle.
- Provide well-maintained personal tools required to effectively perform equipment service duties.

- Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Experience with repairing forklifts.
- Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred.
- Possesses a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
- Above average communication skills.
- Ability to understand service and training manuals, interpret schematics, and effectively use electrical diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes.
Forklift Mechanic
Job Description
As a Forklift Mechanic, you will analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns. You will recommend the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems and make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications. You will also perform scheduled equipment maintenance, follow all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies, document each service call, and observe all safety procedures. Additionally, you will maintain the company service vehicles in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free manner, secure and maintain service and parts inventory, and provide well-maintained personal tools required to effectively perform equipment service duties.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
