Abacus is looking for experiencedSlipsheet Operatorsfor one of our top clients in Etna, OH. ASlipsheet Operatoris responsible for operating specialized equipment to load and unload products on pallets using slipsheets, a cost-effective alternative to traditional pallets. This role involves handling materials in a warehouse or distribution center and requires skill in operating machinery safely and efficiently.

Duties

• Operate Slipsheet Equipment: Safely operate slipsheet forklift or other machinery to move, lift, and position goods as needed.
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload products on slipsheets, ensuring correct placement and safe stacking to prevent product damage.
• Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and maintaining accurate inventory records, including noting any damaged or missing items.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing loads to ensure they meet company quality and safety standards.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience as a forklift or slipsheet operator, with knowledge of slipsheet equipment required, minimum 2 years.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and operate machinery for prolonged hours.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling and transporting goods.
• Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer skills.

Shift: Friday-Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Payrate: $21.00/HR
