      Description

      Position Summary:

      Work with the Florida Peninsula Claims Service (FPCS) adjusters in the field. Provide guidance to the field and desk adjusters in order to promote excellence with claim handling and investigations. Provide technical assistance, as needed. Make sure claim procedures have been followed, in accordance with claim department guidelines for Florida Peninsula, Edison, and Ovation Insurance.

      Essential Functions:

      • Ride along with field adjusters; provide direction and technical assistance, as needed.
      • Provide assistance to FPCS field adjusters, focusing on timely claim handling and adherence to claims guidelines and state regulations.
      • Act as a technical resource to the team.
      • Review claim files and provide quality feedback to field adjusters.
      • Identify, evaluate, and analyze problem areas impacting customer service on claims.
      • Assist FPCS Senior Claims Manager in the evaluation of field adjuster’s skills and ability in handling and investigating claims.
      • Work with FPCS Senior Claims Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of field adjusters.
      • Fill in for FPCS Senior Claims Manager when needed.
      • Assist with Catastrophe field claims management. Required to work extended hours in the event of a Catastrophe (CAT).

      Qualifications


      Required Education and Experience:

      • Florida licensed All-Lines adjuster (620).
      • 5+ years of residential (homeowner’s) property field claim experience required.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Demonstrated leadership ability.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent customer service skills.
      • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects/tasks in order to meet deadlines.
      • Must have strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Xactimate estimating program.
      • 5+ years of claims management experience required.
