Job Description

- Communicate with internal departments and members to provide support and guidance on fraud claims
- Complete operational tasks such as;
- Process returned deposit items
- Review and evaluate items to identify fraud trends
- Placing holds or other restrictions on accounts
- Provide internal support chat
- Research and analyze accounts on behalf of members and internal staff
- Process error corrections and restriction removal requests
- Prepare routine correspondence in connection with Risk Management Accounts
- Assist fraud investigations with resolving simple cases of fraud including check fraud, new account fraud, debit and credit card fraud, teller transactions, check kiting, identity theft, and other suspicious activity
- Distribute incoming daily mail and fax documents to the appropriate risk management personnel
- Process the department’s certified and return mail, forward incoming documents to the appropriate department
- Provide independent responses to incoming e-mails and send them to the appropriate personnel
- Record and post received payments to members’ accounts or general ledger
- Document all activity in the case management platform for assigned accounts
- Prepare and submit insurance claims
- Assist Risk Analytics with daily reports

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in fraud investigations or risk management with a financial institution
- 4+ years of call center experience, preferably with a financial institution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve routine problems or situations
- Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Ability to communicate information requiring explanation or interpretation
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

OverviewCompensation: $22.00 - $32.00 hourly based on experience and credentials
Location Type: Hybrid, a flexible work model blending in-office and remote working
Position Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM with rotating Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Fraud Protect Support performs a variety of administrative functions to support the Risk Management Department, members, and frontline staff. An ideal candidate maintains the required performance standards for quality, communication, production, and identifying fraud trends.
