      Position Purpose

      To efficiently and safely pick product, pack, scan and ship orders using a Radio Frequency (RF) scanner and other equipment. To support and assist in all warehouse activity as assigned.

      Essential Duties

      • Pick product from the stockroom locations using RF Scanner to help pick order.
      • Place products in proper shipping containers using designated procedures.
      • Place enclosed orders on conveyor belt to be scanned for shipping.
      • Place completed large orders on pallets and move pallets to a freight scanning station.
      • Validate orders and product using the PC based validation program with handheld bar code scanner device to verify items, quantities are correct.
      • Retrieve or communicate to order pickers for retrieval of any missing or miss-picked product.
      • Places shipping label on shipping container according to customer requirements.
      • Prepares containers for shipment using proper Shipping Department procedures.
      • Provide daily production counts to Operations Manager or Crew Chief.
      • Processes return goods. Transacts items from put-away to stockroom location, and place items in the correct locations.
      • Assemble cardboard shipping containers as needed.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Safety

      Adhere to safety and good housekeeping rules and regulations of the department and the Company. Attend safety meetings and participate in periodic safety training.

      Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

      • One to two years of Warehouse experience.
      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Reading and writing skills in English to understand and follow basic instructions.
      • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
      • Able to read illustrations and to follow setup and assembly instructions.
      • Must be able to learn to use Radio Frequency scanners, calculator and computer.
      • Experience and knowledge of pallet jack, stapler and equipment safely.
      • Be able to maintain shipping and stockroom location records.

      Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

      • Able to walk and/or stand for the length of the shift.
      • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
      • Able to bend, stoop and twist to remove and/or place product on skids.
      • Able to use arms to reach up and/or out over head and shoulders to push/pull and lift product and move product from one location to another.
      • Able to bend and lift product above the head to stock shelves.
      • Able to climb ladders up to 12 feet.
      • Able to use and operate pallet jack, stapler, and equipment safely

      Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm
