      Job Description
      Provides reception and office support for Counseling and Consultation Service, the Mental Health Services Department for Ohio State University Students, co-located at Younkin Success Center and Lincoln Tower; answers multiline phones, urgent phone calls from multiple stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, staff and administrators; checks in clients and greets visitors; provides customer service to a diverse client population; schedules and reschedules client appointments; gathers information of a sensitive and confidential nature; handles confidential information and inquiries; communicates stated client needs to clinical staff; works effectively in a fast-paced environment; maintains knowledge of CCS services with an ability to communicate to university stakeholders; provides resource options to those calling in seeking services such as: triage, Community Provider Data Base, and urgent appointments; fields student requests for prescription refills; participates in staff trainings and weekly meetings; manages office supply inventory; assists front coordinator and Administrative Associate; multitasks basic administrative duties. This position requires evening hours and the following schedule during the academic year: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m .; Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule may vary during break weeks and between semesters. May provide additional coverage as needed.

      MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
      High School diploma or GED. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      Answering multiline phones, customer service to diverse populations, working at a mental health clinic, front desk or reception, handling confidential information, and ability to multi-task, problem-solve and prioritize; knowledge and operation of computer and basic office technology/equipment and MS Office programs required; experience in a medical or counseling setting; demonstrated commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.

      Additional Information:

      Salary Range: $15.00-$16.00/hr.
