- Analyze prior week/day plan variance to identify root causes and determine planning actions
- Develop new models to inform planning assumptions and variance analysis
- Meet with stakeholders to understand business levers (e.g., Sales trends, Promo plans, etc.)
- Review Data Science outputs and provide feedback on approach
- Provide user requirements and feedback to Product Management partners
- Coach junior team members of modeling and planning skillsets
- Support weekly business rhythms for Operational executive leadership
- Execute ad-hoc analysis to resolve planning risks or shape immediate decisions
- Support the creation of key deliverables (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Business Reviews)
- Establish and execute against quarterly priorities to drive improved planning outcomes
- 5+ years of planning or analytics experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, or Engineering Preferred
- Ability to manage disparate priorities and coordinate various stakeholders to drive action
- Strong communication skills and comfort in engaging with business leaders
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills to support daily planning activities
- Experience in Retail Supply Chain or Supply Chain Planning is preferred
- Experience directly or indirectly managing teams

The Outbound Planning Manager (L18 Program Mgr Sr) will be a critical member of the Supply Chain Planning team, owning the monthly and weekly cadence of planning JWN fulfillment volumes, with a core focus on Supply Chain Fulfillment Centers. Monthly plan runs will require cross-functional engagement and upstream stakeholder management to drive aligned operational plans across banners and fulfillment channels. Weekly updates will require hands on modeling knowledge to achieve day level accuracy in the near term, as well as stakeholder engagement with Data Science resources for on-going model development. In addition to managing and improving current state planning capabilities, the Outbound Planning Manager will have responsibilities for defining and shaping future stake capabilities in partnership with Product Management.
This role will require strong data analytics skills, a pragmatic attitude, and comfort in driving decisions. The Outbound Planning Manager is expected to balance on-going planning activities with one-off analysis and recommendations to support executive decisions. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. This role will require directly driving analysis as well as shaping the efforts of partner teams in order to achieve impactful business outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role has prior experience in Demand, Fulfillment, or Labor Planning in the Retail industry, as well as exposure to the implementation of new planning platforms.

Pay Range Details

Washington: 103,500.00 - 175,000.00 USD This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
