What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in client meetings to define communication requirements and present graphical concepts
- Write short articles and communications for review by senior team members
- Collaborate with the team to enhance change management efforts through visually appealing communications
- Create graphic visual representations of information for written materials, including emails and blog posts
- Design and edit professional documents and graphics in various formats and software
What is Required (Qualifications):
- No formal workforce experience required; a robust graphic design portfolio and at least two writing samples are mandatory
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a similar field
- Excellent graphic design, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Familiarity with web content management systems like Drupal
- Knowledge of plain language guidelines and Section 508 compliance
- Portfolio showcasing diverse graphic design works
- Strong team collaboration skills
