What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide professional category support in procurement activities under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager
- Coordinate the purchase of merchandise, supplies, and services while ensuring compliance with established guidelines
- Generate reports and maintain records related to goods ordered and received
- Assist in maintaining the procurement database and monitor vendor performance
- Administer purchasing policies and assist with staff training on procurement practices

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft 9.0
- Familiarity with electronic data record-keeping and report generation
- Effective writing and strong reading comprehension skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Team GA Marketplace e-Procurement
- Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate (GCPA) certification or willingness to obtain
