Your new role – challenging and future-oriented Energy, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to fill a position in Gas Turbine - Research & Development as part of the Negotiations & Performance department in Gurgaon, India. Negotiations and Performance department is responsible for the proposal, customer engineering, Tools’ development & performance of Heavy-Duty Gas-Turbines used in power-generation. The department provides leadership in customer proposal, customer engineering, Tools’ development & performance support for the entire gas-turbines portfolio. The team continuously develops, maintains, and improves our internal gas-turbine negotiation related tools and methods to increase the competitiveness of the Siemens portfolio and improve productivity. Negotiation & Performance engineer for Gas Turbine projects in tendering phase. This includes Lead LGT negotiation projects in tendering phase, acting responsible for the required clarifications/tasks/support and preparation of technical documentation (TLOA’s,…) Thermodynamic calculation of gas turbine performance guarantees, as well as optimization of gas turbine operation in coordination with other departments Evaluation of technical risks and development of mitigation measures in cooperation with other departments Budget calculation for engineering and performance testing efforts Clarification of critical issues with line management as well as with project management Representing the technical negotiation team in the management review/release meeting and towards internal/external customers Technical sales support during contract negotiations with the customer We don’t need superheroes, just super minds Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer graduate/Postgraduate from recognized university More than 5 years of experience in gas turbine, turbo machinery, aerospace or equivalent field in negotiations, R&D, engineering or project management Product knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of Gas Turbine design and operation including thermodynamic understanding Strong Experience in Proposal, Negotiation support or project management Experience in technical writing and conducting formal presentations. Candidate must have the ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines on time. Intercultural experience/sensitivity Very good verbal and written communication skills in English, including good presentation skills Candidate must be detail‐oriented, organized, self‐motivated, and results oriented System knowledge: working knowledge about total power plant functionality, especially shaft train Teamwork skills: Be comfortable working with colleagues in multiple time zones and cultures in a team and/or to lead an expert team to answer technical questions and to perform risk assessments. Networking skills: Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a global team setup and interface with other (engineering) groups across the organization.
