      • 4+ years of development experience
      • GE Smallwolrd Application (Physical network inventory v5.x) experience
      • Magic script development and schedule
      • Experience in Designing & Developing data migration into GE Smallworld.
      • PRM and ONA experience is a bonus.
      • GSA product experience desirable
      • Agile/Dev Ops - Jira, Confluence, Agile ceremonies
      • Source Control – Git/Mercurial etc
      • Telecom domain experience
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Experience with Safe Software’s Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)

        • Development experience in specific areas (in some if not all):
          • Reports, Report Packs, Layouts/Layout Series
          • GUI Development
          • FME, SOMs, 3rd party formats (AutoCad, Mapinfo, KML)
          • Core Smallworld skills: ACE, Styles, Themes, Authorisation, Implementers, etc
          • Specification configuration: Fibre/RME
          • Unit Testing
      • Magik script development experience
      • Telecom (Fibre) domain knowledge
      • Agile/Dev Ops - Jira, Confluence, Agile ceremonies
      • Source Control – Git
      • Unit Testing – Munit
      • Other – SQL, Oracle

      Key Responsibilities:

      • You will be responsible for undertaking the analysis of Business requirements and creating technical tasks and estimates.
      • Design and build on tasks assigned during the sprint on GE Smallworld, Physical Network Inventory (PNI), Geospatial Server (GSS), Geospatial Analysis (GSA), Physical Resource Manager (PRM) and Optical Network Atlas (ONA) products.
      • Deliver advanced-level GE Smallworld data modelling and Magik programming knowledge to support build of new capability.
      • Experience working with GE Smallworld PNI and a good understanding of the Telecom domain.
      • Interact and work with teams in technical discussions, design, and code reviews and utilize technical expertise in the requirements analysis phase to ensure the solution is both fit for purpose and use.
      • To be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the deliverables.

      Key Soft Skills:

      • Ability to work on Tasks / Stories independently and bring to closure
      • Raise any issues / blockers / delays proactively and work with team
      • Flexible work time i.e.
        • ability to support overnight or weekend deployments
        • Early start to support Business testing
      • Commitment to meet dates / timelines and ensure end solution meets the requirements
      • Problem solving skills
      • Ability to learn new skills if needed to ensure deliverables are met

      About the candidate:

      • Computer science degree with GIS domain background
      • Proficiency in GE Smallworld, PRM, ONA and GSS
      • 6+ years of experience as a hands-on programmer
      • API Design & Implementation
      • Exposure to AWS
      • Version control systems (Git, Github, bitbucket)
      • Mandatory development experience needed. Support / Bug Fix experience will not help
