- Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide visionary leadership and set a clear direction for the content creators, instructional designers, trainers and publisher teams.
- Mentor, coach, and guide team members to enhance their skills, boost performance, and achieve their professional goals.
- Performance Management:
- Set performance expectations, track progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
- Identify areas for improvement and design tailored development plans to address skill gaps and maximize potential.
- Recognize and reward exceptional contributions, fostering a culture of recognition and motivation.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and timelines on key strategic projects.
- Maintain an eye on team capacity to allocate resources effectively, balancing workloads and team bandwidth to ensure projects are completed on schedule and with high quality.
- Participate in stakeholder conversations when team bandwidth and project backlog are not aligned and project re-prioritization is required.
- Quality Assurance:
- Uphold rigorous standards of quality, consistency, and brand voice across all content items produced by the team.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to content creators, guiding them towards refining their work and delivering excellence.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Participate in the recruitment process by identifying talent needs, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Develop comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate seamless integration of new team members.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in copywriting and content creation.
- Implement process improvements and innovations to enhance team efficiency and output quality.
- Bachelor's degree OR 10+ years’ experience in marketing, communications or journalism.
- Willingness to adjust to US work hours for key leadership meetings (if needed).
- 10+ years of experience in copywriting, content production or newsdesk, with 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of managing and developing diverse large high-performing teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including creating PowerPoint slides for client report-outs.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in content management systems, project management tools, and collaboration platforms.
- Clear understanding of learning and development content creation and optimization.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and deliver on business objectives.
- A passion for fostering talent, nurturing growth, and cultivating a positive team culture.
- English C1 speaking and writing is required.
