South College Online seeks candidates for a full-time Associate Department Chair in General Education. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a master’s degree in a General Education subject field such as English, Humanities, or Communication. Preference will be given to candidates who have a doctorate degree and have successfully taught in the online format. The position is online remote and will report directly to the online Department Chair of General Education.

The Associate Chair will teach sixteen (16) college-level courses per year covering core courses in either English, Humanities, or Communications at the bachelor’s level. The Associate Chair will work with adjunct faculty who teach within the department. Other duties include overseeing the term start set-up, and checking for final grade completion.
