      Job Title: Quality Inspector - 1st Shift


      Job Description

      We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team on the 1st shift. The successful candidate will operate equipment for spooling pin material, perform quality checks, and prepare materials for shipment. This role involves sitting for extended periods and collaborating with other inspectors in the quality department.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate equipment that spools pin material.
      • Spool and pack pin material into boxes for shipment.
      • Perform quality checks on all pin materials before packaging.
      • Work in the quality department with two other inspectors.
      • Inspect parts, pack them into boxes, weigh the materials with the box, label, and send the final products in larger boxes for shipping.

      Essential Skills

      • 3 years of experience in quality checks.
      • 1 year of experience in packing.
      • Ability to sit for an 8-10 hour day.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Proficiency in performing visual checks.
      • Ability to read blueprints.

      Work Environment

      Our facility, located in Grand Rapids, specializes in making conveyor systems for the coal mining industry. It is a very clean facility with fabrication, CNC machining, assembly, and mold making all done in-house. The Urethane team has their own area, which can get a little warm in the summers due to the heat from the ovens. The role is primarily a sit-down job, ensuring a comfortable working condition.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
