We are looking for an exceptional individual who will join the business and take ownership of the strategic customer relationship, influence, and lead change, recognise areas for further improvement and identify new opportunities for future business growth.

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join the team on the JLR Transport contract, who's primary responsibility is to take full operational, commercial, and budgetary responsibility for the management of sites across the midlands supporting the Transport operation.

• Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI's, monitoring performance and adjusting where necessary.
• Understand trends within the business and marketplace and take action to ensure that the business is kept abreast and makes changes where appropriate.
• Support the OD and business development teams as required on development opportunities at current site and potential new operations.
• Actively work alongside direct and in direct internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop strong management capability through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring and development of teams and individuals and a culture of respect and high performance within your team.
• Promote DHL core values and act as a role model for teams and individuals.
• Lead an established team and working closely with our Union partners to create a seamless operation for the customer.

• Previous experience of working within a supply chain environment, within a large scale and fast paced operation – essential
• Experience working with Unions - essential
• Transport CPC – International and National,
• Previous experience of managing and leading, with a passion for building and developing teams.
• Exceptional and demonstrable record of delivering against targets, with previous change management and continuous improvement experience.
• The ability to communicate at all levels, and lead with the DHL Core values, passion, right first time and can do.
