Job summary
Building on Haxby Groups experience as a regional workforce and training hub alongside a vision to become an at-scale multiprofessional primary care training provider, this innovative new post will allow qualified practice nurses with an interest in education to maintain and develop existing clinical skills in a supportive practice environment alongside an expanding educational portfolio. A proportion of the successful candidate(s) week will be spent working as part of the Haxby Group Training team. This will involve the development and delivery of teaching and leadership skills, helping to mentor and support both current and aspiring practice nurse and other health professionals.
Interviews for this position will be held on Thursday 21 March 2024 at our Burnbrae Surgery in Hull and will consist of a 10 minute presentation followed by interview questions.
Main duties of the job
Please note you will be required to work across all of our sites in Hull, York and Scarborough (potentially across the region).
As a qualified practice nurse, the post-holder will be responsible for the provision of skilled nursing care to the practice population. The focus of the clinical aspect of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a long-term condition and the provision of preventative healthcare. As an autonomous practitioner you will be responsible for the care delivered to your patients demonstrating critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. You will work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients, ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.
You will work across many organisations and departments utilising your clinical training, experience in development, education, and preferably leadership and management to maximise the development of training opportunities.
You must work at all times within your own competence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day to day activities.
