      About us

We strive to be a family practice with a traditional feel but also with a progressive and forward-thinking attitude.

With a list size of around 6000 patients and a branch site open three days per week, we serve rural village communities but are only 10 minutes by car from our local district general hospital in Wrexham. The area has good road links and is conveniently situated 3.5 miles from Wrexham and just 8 miles from Chester. We currently have 4 GP partners working a mix of sessions. The wider Practice team includes 3 Practice nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants and a supportive administrative team. We benefit from a Cluster Home Visiting Urgent Care Practitioner, Cluster Occupational Therapist, Cluster Mental Health and CAMHS In-reach Service, Cluster Audiologist and Ear Wax removal service.

The Practice is active in all levels of medical training, accepting students from Cardiff and Swansea Medical Schools, doctors on F1 Lift placements and GP Registrars. We are a member of the Further Training Practice network.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
