What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as an educational resource to both customers and staff members
- Analyze and interpret clinical and/or laboratory findings
- Provide pre and post-procedure education and consultation to patients and families
- Facilitate patients' understanding of genetic, medical, and psychosocial information
- Support patients' psychosocial needs and provide grief and crisis counseling

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling conferred by a Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
- California Genetic Counselor License within 1 month of hire date
- Must be able to work in San Diego County and be available for onsite clinic meetings
- Must be eligible for Board certification by the ABGC
- Completion of a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling conferred by a GC program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) within 90 days of hire

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Clinical experience in genetic counseling for cancer susceptibility
- Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) - American Board of Genetic Counseling -PREFERRED
