What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, attribute, and deliver GIS utility data for the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Investigate, locate, and designate utilities using industry-standard methods
- Gather and analyze hardcopy engineering drawings and CAD sources for geospatial applications
- Implement georeferencing, coordinate geometry, and digitizing techniques for accurate data representation
- Create and manipulate geodatabases to conform to DoD standards

What is Required (Qualifications):
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a background check for military installation access
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field, or 5 years of experience in underground utility collection and mapping
- 1-2 years of experience with GIS and/or GPS field collection of utilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to interpret engineering/utility as-built drawings

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience using GPR and EMF locating equipment
- Experience with DoD GIS
- Strong technical understanding of GIS, CAD, and database systems
- Experience mapping underground utilities
