What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with the development and maintenance of GIS data
- Conduct mapping and data analysis
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to program progress and team goals
- Perform production line work and other GIS drafting functions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Computer Sciences, Civil Engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- 1-2 years of experience working with GIS or relevant academic coursework
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and VBA
- Ability to reconcile discrepancies using field data within datasets
- Strong written and oral communication skills for explaining complex technical matters clearly

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with GE Smallworld and ESRI software (ArcMap, ArcPro, ArcGIS)
- Knowledge of electric utilities
- Production line work, CAD experience, or drafting/design knowledge in a GIS application
- Understanding of data management and its impact on business requirements and workflows
- Ability to work independently while being an effective team player
