What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise GIS Analysts, establishing schedules, priorities, and providing direction
- Manage, coordinate, and track GIS and Data projects, ensuring quality control on outputs
- Develop and document GIS and Remote Sensing protocols and collaborate on data integration
- Coordinate training for staff and customers on GIS systems, applications, and products
- Drive on State business and perform other duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Knowledge of GIS systems, spatial data management, and natural resource management
- Experience in supervising teams and managing multiple projects
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro and scripting languages including Python
- Strong analytical skills and ability to produce complex reports and maps
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in GIS, remote sensing, cartography, geography, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Salesforce platform and SQL
- Experience in quality control and assurance of GIS processes and data
- Ability to gather, digitize, manipulate, and analyze GIS and Remote Sensing data
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
