What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using ESRI software and programming languages like Python
- Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and modeling with GIS tools such as ArcGIS and PostGIS
- Automate GIS tasks through scripting (e.g., Python, SQL) for data processing and transformation
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of geospatial data through validation and quality control

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Natural Resources/Wildfire/Forestry industry
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and other scripting languages for GIS automation
- Strong skills in geospatial data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Ability to create high-quality maps and spatial visualizations using GIS tools

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience in Agile Software Delivery
- Familiarity with cloud-based GIS solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Earth Engine)
- Experience in automating GIS workflows using Python or similar tools
- Professional services experience strongly desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
