      Remote within the US - Global Brand Intern

      Spring 2024

      World Vision Internships provide a three-month opportunity for exceptional students and recent graduates ready to explore a career in the international relief and development sector. We are committed to providing interns with a meaningful learning experience where you are able to learn, grow, and connect alongside other emerging professionals who are passionate about our mission.

      BEFORE APPLYING, make sure you meet the following requirements:

      • Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for the entire internship period: January 29 to April 26, 2024.

      • Eligible to work in the United States.

      • Must have a valid U.S Social Security Number.

      • Be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

      • Current or recent graduate from an undergraduate programme (within 2 years).

      • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.

      • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software in those devices.

      DETAILS

      • Stipend: All US-based interns are paid a monthly stipend of $650

      • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)

      • Internship Location: Remote within the US (see eligible states above).

      • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Graphic Design, Web Design, UI / UX Design, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related fields.

      INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

      The Brand, Campaigns, and Digital Marketing Team supports World Vision teams to achieve Our Promise to the most vulnerable children by creating solutions and making it easy for teams across the partnership to access and implement those solutions, ensuring that the right messages communicate effectively to the right people.

      World Vision Brand ensures that we as a partnership speak with one voice, and provide a clear, cohesive experience for our donors regardless of the medium or channel used to communicate our message. Our team provides detailed assets and playbooks for all Child Sponsorship and Child Rescue campaigns. Each Playbook gives a clear overview of the strategy and concept and contains snapshots, explanations, and links for all available assets. Additional campaign assets include editable files, that can be translated and localized to meet the unique needs of WV.

      The Global Brand team developed and released the Brand Common Core, a document that provides guidance to all offices on how to use and promote our brand properly and consistently. We are currently working on an addendum focusing on Digital. As an intern, you will help us to put together this new section.

      The Opportunity:

      As a Global Brand Intern, you'll have the opportunity to:

      • Participate in Global Brand discussions in a 33.000-employee organization.

      • Learn how our World Vision Brand behaves in different countries and how we need to balance and consider different aspects when working for a Global team.

      • Develop skills in critical thinking, information processing, planning, prioritizing, and communication.

      • Make a lasting impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children.

      The intern’s responsibilities will include:

      • Support in brand execution to ensure consistency across the brand through all channels.

      • Develop visual design standards for Web assets, Social Media, security and check, Alert bars, infographics, charts, digital components, forms and inputs, notifications, and e-books.

      • Support in the integration of design related to decorative elements, email signatures, animations, newsletter templates, illustrations, emergency elements, and accessibility.

      • Conduct research and collect information from different office sites and package it following the same layout of the Brand Common Core.

      Essential qualities for this role:

      • You are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suites, especially InDesign.

      • You have a good understanding of UI / UX Design.

      • You are a critical thinker and organized.

      • You feel comfortable working as part of a virtual and global team.

      • You are passionate about using your God-given talents to positively impact the world
