Development of store floor plans and planograms aligning store space with annual strategic financial plans and Divisional Merchandise Financial Plans
Work with your cross-functional colleagues and be sure to engender a strong team spirit across teams.
Share best practices for the benefit of the business as a whole.
Work closely with and provide insight to the Concessions Business Development and ISP teams to ensure optimal allocation of space for categories across the estate.
Support the Concessions Business Development and ISP teams with the allocation of space for New and Refit stores and new partner proposals as needed.
Support the Store Merchandising, Sales, and ISP teams with new thinking around category flows and adjacencies, including proposing trial activity to continuously improve our customer logic.
Create new planograms through the annually identified planogram calendar, as well as ad hoc requirements for specific stores or one-in-one-out activity.
Actively and confidently challenge any decision considered counter to customer mission, shopping logic or operational efficiency during your planogram build process.
Make regular visits to our stores, to ensure the reality matches the plan.
Conduct regular competitor visits to help you maintain your already developed understanding of changes in the industry.
Advocate for our customer and our store colleagues during assortment review process, by ensuring store workload is minimized and customer shopping logic is embraced and not disregarded.
Other duties and responsibilities as they arise and/or are assigned to best support company and team initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Preferably 1-2 years of experience within a retail space planning environment in a high sku environment
Able to demonstrate experience with office systems that would benefit the role.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market, and business.
Experienced in influencing and communicating at a variety of levels and directions.
Excellent PC skills, including all standard Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent MS Excel skills will be a plus, as will good knowledge of PowerPoint.
Experience of Space Planning software is preferred – ideally JDA/space planning certified.
Additional analytical or data mining knowledge may be seen as an advantage.
***This will be a hybrid role that will be on-site two days per week in Hoffman Estates, IL***

You will be a merchandising expert with demonstrable experience in creating planograms cross-functionally with merchandise, marketing, and planning teams that deliver the required commercial performance, satisfy customer shopping needs, and are operationally efficient.
