      The EHS Manager for the Semiconductor Business Unit (SBU) is responsible for driving environment, health, and safety compliance, while facilitating a strong EHS culture. The role also includes: execution of the Littelfuse EHS program; administration of EHS policies; compliance assurance; and assisting sites in achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency gains. The EHS Manager will be responsible for the development & execution of strategies to align and improve the capabilities of the seven facilities within SBU globally.

      Responsibilities:

      • Develop policies and programs to drive a strong culture of EHS throughout the Semiconductor sites worldwide, ensuring compliance with regulated activities, management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50000), Littelfuse corporate-wide standards and EHS legal requirements (i.e., in-country, provincial, state and local regulations.) Evaluate, interpret and apply environmental laws, regulations and permits as it related to the operation of the SBU facilities. Oversee the preparation and submittal of EHS permit applications required for operations.

      • Develop a robust Process Safety Management (PSM) system (e.g., Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analysis, Operating Procedures, Pre-startup Safety Review, Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, etc.), and implement across all SBU facilities as a Littelfuse corporate-wide standard.

      • Monitor and report on environmental health and safety metrics and key performance indicators monthly. Prepare reports for quarterly business reviews.

      • Establish and lead continuous improvement teams to drive EHS initiatives and goals as needed.

      • Support facilities in conducting effective EHS incident investigations to drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions to address incidents, injuries, and trends as needed. Share best practices, lessons learned and ensure follow through on action items to prevent repeat incidents across the SBU facilities.

      • Perform EHS audits and reviews to identify local and systemic gaps, develop corrective measures, and implement solutions to sustain compliance with EHS regulations, company strategies, policies, and standards.

      • Support global sustainability efforts including driving sustainability efficiency projects, data collection, tracking and validation.

      • Mentor and coach the facilities to develop a strong / capable EHS team, that has the required systems, influence, and responsiveness.

      • Other duties as assigned.

      Education:

      • Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year College or University in chemical or environmental engineering, safety, industrial hygiene, closely related scientific field, or other engineering discipline; master’s degree a plus.

      Experience:

      • 10+ years of EHS related experience in a multi-country manufacturing environment.

      • Proven successful track record of working with global, cross-cultural teams on EHS related projects, trainings, and initiatives.

      • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processing and/or related chemical industry experience.

      • A broad knowledge and understanding of the applicable EHS regulatory and legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, legislation, processes, and procedures.

      • Working knowledge of Process Safety Management systems

      • Demonstrated experience in hazardous materials, emergency response team development, implementation, and administration.

      • Familiarity with EHS risk assessment methods and a proven record of implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

      • Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict, able to effectively communicate ideas and positions and be an active listener.

      • An ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies, procedures, and work instructions.

      • Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management database systems.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to support and interact with all business units as well as external customers. Fluent English is required; multi-lingual in German and/or Mandarin is a plus, but not required.

      • A willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate teams in different time zones and/or support 24/7 evolving risk events that could negatively impact our business operations.

      • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time internationally
