Job Description

- Partner with the Global and Regional EHS teams to develop, implement, integrate, and optimise Standardised Global and Regional EHS Standards, Policies and focused Processes.
- Partner with Global/Regional EHS counterparts on implementation and optimisation of EHS systems platform and other data collection / analysis processes across the business.
- Develop strategies for EHS program development and implementation, including global and region-specific goals and initiatives, and monitor performance / progress.
- Anticipate competing priorities to quickly identify and engage appropriate resources necessary to affect accurate and meaningful solutions and provide support.
- Develop, implement and support Global and Regional tools and processes for acceleration of EHS performance.
- Contribute to Global EHS Leadership insights and regional perspective through participation and leadership in Global and Regional EHS Steering Teams.
- Create and communicate a clear vision for EHS initiatives to inspire and drive regional and EUM’s to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Leverage clear understanding and articulation of Safety Management Systems – leadership commitment, accountability, effective communication, auditing and performance metrics.
- Leverage interpersonal skills that feature the ability to foster 360° relationships and collaborate with functional leaders in a manner that will produce effective results..
- Support Global and Regional sustainability initiatives and implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 Certification(s).
- Support Mergers, Aquisitions and Integration.
- Provide accurate and timely information to the Global, Regional & EUM leadership team relative to, EHS performance, regulatory issues and emergency situations.
- Act as EHS Systems and Assurance SME for the Global, Regional and EUM Leadership group with systems such as Intelex, EPM, and KIRMS.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- IEMA or other relevant qualification/experience with the ability to manage in accordance with a PPC permit.
- Good knowledge of local, regional and global H&S & Environmental Legislation.
- Able to present written and verbal reports that are understood by the target audience.
- Can communicate with both internal and external contacts and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven post qualification, Health & Safety & Environment experience in a manufacturing/FMCG/service company. Food and Drink industry experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to influence and lead the HSE culture at front line level.
- Proven experience of a leadership style role, in a global capacity
- Professional level membership of a recognised Health & Safety institute (IOSH/IIRSM etc.)

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned EHS professional looking to further or continue their career on a Global scale.
You will be accountable for all aspects of EHS systems and assurance processes whilst providing vision and leadership in regards to improving Systems and Assurance platforms that align with the Regional & Global EHS objectives to drive world class EHS performance.
You will support in achieving the continuous positive results in the areas of Environmental Health and Safety, sustainability and employee engagement in a matrixed environment (including, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, HR, CI, Quality, EHS and Finance) and ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that are consistent with Kerry Values.
