      Position Summary

      The Global Payroll Leader is a critical member of the Global HR Service Delivery and Operations Team responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight and expertise for global payroll for approximately 25,000 employees in 60 countries across the globe (EMEA, LATAM, APAC and NA). He/she will also establish and lead the global payroll transformation program to ensure operational excellence and readiness to support the Company’s growth imperatives. The ideal candidate is experienced in Global Payroll, is both strategic and operational, and has a passion for creating innovative payroll solutions. He/she will cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with all regional delivery teams, as well as with outsourcing partners in order to build service delivery scale, define process requirements and standards, support new and existing pay programs, manage 3rd party vendor solutions and establish a global payroll strategy and related roadmap. You will provide leadership and requirements into any HR program or system or changes impacting payroll. In addition, this leader will manage a small team. The Director of Global Payroll will report into VP, Global HR Service Delivery and Operations.

      This role will be 100% remote. Preferred locations are EMEA and NA.

      What you'll do...

      • Lead efforts to harmonize payroll service delivery across the globe and oversee regional efforts towards global process efficiency, effectiveness and standardization while allowing for local flexibility

      • Establish strong protocols for timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions, and define payroll quality controls and audit methodology for delivery teams; lead program to align current activities to these standards

      • Partner closely with internal stakeholders in Finance, Tax, Total Rewards, Executive Comp and Legal to ensure that payroll processes and practices set up to deliver against defined procedures, guidelines, legal requirements and in compliance with local laws and regulations

      • Keep up to date on required regulatory/compliance requirements and ensure compliance with corporate and country specific policies and procedures

      • Ensure accuracy of financial information; compliance with Company policies and procedures including SOX and other internal control requirements

      • Partner with the regional delivery teams to identify areas of opportunity within the existing process and drive continuous improvement efforts

      • Manage third party vendors to uphold service standards and actively lead selection of new vendors

      • Lead payroll activities for new M&A including due diligence and transitions

      • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the Global Payroll function

      • Provide coaching and leadership to a small team


      What you'll need:

      • 7 or more years of experience with global payroll, including implementation and/or delivery accountability

      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance or Accounting

      • Payroll Certification designation

      • Ability to transform payroll and build scalability and efficiency

      • Extensive knowledge and experience managing payroll providers and technologies

      • Strong acumen for financial controls and compliance with laws and policies

      • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including senior executives; able to comfortably speak to business line managers and establish a communication cadence

      • Expert ability providing focus and drive in identifying and resolving issues that span organizations and partnerships, creating a shared vision for results

      • Strategic, goal driven, self-motivated, organized, multi-tasker, committed to excellence

      • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

      • Experience with program management and organizational skills with an ability to plan and oversee change
