- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop Jobs & Skills team strategy and Global Philanthropy’s broader inclusive economic development agenda
- Develop and maintain a productive network of professional relationships with key government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit leaders
- Leverage in-depth subject matter expertise, professional network, data, and analysis to deliver a cohesive multi-year grantmaking strategy
- Identify, assess and recommend individual grant opportunities that serve the strategy
- Deliver reliable metrics data for all grants; engage with grantees throughout the grant cycle to monitor grant progress and use insights from grant performance to shape future direct grantmaking and inform pillar guidance
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior JPMC business leaders and colleagues in other parts of Corporate Responsibility
- Think creatively about the firm’s assets and tools to drive impact including the PolicyCenter, Employee Engagement and Volunteerism, JPMC Institute and Impact Finance
- Knowledge of and experience in some or all topics of import to the strategy, including corporate talent acquisition and development, workforce training, career connected learning, k-12 education, and higher education
- High-level analytic and strategic thinking
- Ability to assess how market dynamics shape economic opportunities and the effectiveness of workforce development organizations, and to seek workforce solutions with commercial viability
- Very strong executive communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences in verbal and written form
- Ability to build executive-level relationships required; already having a strong professional network related to Jobs & Skills preferred
- Most strong candidates will have 5 – 15 years of relevant work experience in talent, workforce, education, strategy, philanthropy or government, with increasing responsibilities
- Most competitive candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, and many a Master’s degrees in a relevant field; but these are not requirements of the job
- Passion for Global Philanthropy’s mission, including for racial economic equity
- Familiarity with grant making practices preferred
- Creative, flexible, and collaborative with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrate a high degree of initiative; results-oriented

Global Philanthropy is currently seeking a Vice President to join the Jobs & Skills program team responsible for setting the firm’s goals and approach to expanding economic opportunity and career pathways, and making national-level philanthropic investments to execute that approach.
The Jobs & Skills Vice President will play a major role in shaping the team’s strategy; develop and manage a grant portfolio and establish external relationships to execute that strategy; and build internal allies within JPMorgan Chase to help advance the work. The VP will focus on issues related to employment, employer practices, job training, secondary and post-secondary education, and economic mobility. And they will be expected to bring a strategic and commercial orientation to the work. The VP will collaborate with the Impact Finance, Policy, Government Relations and others teams within CR, as well as business leaders across the firm.
The Vice President will report to the Executive Director and Head of Jobs & Skills for Global Philanthropy.
