What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond promptly and professionally to member, client, and provider inquiries through various communication channels
- Accurately communicate eligibility, benefit, claim status, and payment information
- Identify call reasons and provide appropriate resolutions within specified timeframes
- Assist callers with grievance and claims appeals processes as necessary
- Document all relevant call details in the customer relationship management system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to work an assigned eight-hour schedule, Monday through Friday
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience in a business environment, preferably in a call center assisting Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollees
- Proficient in personal computers and software applications (including Windows)
- Successful completion of customer service assessments with minimum required scores
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a customer service role within a healthcare-related environment
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid systems and processes
- Strong multitasking and call logging skills demonstrated through assessments
