- To provide clinical assessment and medical care to meet patients emergency and urgent clinical needs
- Medical care provided should in line with current medical practice and where possible evidence based guidelines
- To maintain out of hours records with reference to the standards set out in Good Medical Practice
- To work within the DOH National Quality Requirements
- To work with other health care professionals and services to deliver care to meet patients clinical, social and transport needs
- Be flexible and responsive to the clinical needs of patients and operational needs of the service
- Hold appropriate medical qualification to practice medicine in the UK
- Fully registered with GMC (General Medical Council) with current Licence to Practice
- Hold a JCPTGP (Joint Committee on Postgraduate Training for General Practice) certificate or equivalent experience
- Registered on a PCT (Primary Care Trust) Principal or supplementary Performers List with no restrictions to practice
- Not suspended or disqualified from practice or any conditional inclusion list with any PCT (Primary Care Trust)
- DCH (Diploma in Child Health)/DCCH (Diploma in Community Child Health) and/or DRCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists)

Job summary

Here at Macclesfield GP Out of Hours we are looking for someone who is a motivated and driven to join our forward thinking team of health care professionals. We operate from multiple locations such as Macclesfield District General, Congleton War Memorial, Handforth Clinic and Knutsford Community Hospital.
The set hours for this post on our 4 week rolling rota will be as follows;
1st Wednesday of the month- Meeting - 3hrs Week 2 - Saturday - 12:00-22:00 Week 3 - Sunday - 08:00-21:00 With associated CPD - 2.3hrsMain duties of the job
About us
NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working to UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service will be appointed to the minimum paypoint. The starting salary paypoint can only be increased when there is evidence of relevant, completed year's experience in terms of nature, type and level of role. The evidence required to increase a starting salary would be Payslips and details noted in the application form i.e. complete employment history
