      We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our team at Lyngford Park Surgery.

      Job summary

      The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe day-to-day operations of the GP surgery. This role involves leading and coordinating the organisations administrative and operational functions to deliver high-quality care to patients while achieving financial sustainability and strategic goals.

      Main duties of the job

      The Practice Managers mission is to lead and support the GP practice in delivering exceptional, patient-centred healthcare in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

      Through strong compassionate leadership, innovative thinking, and effective resource management, aim to empower staff, enhance operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth.

      Commitment to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring the practice thrives both financially and strategically while meeting the evolving needs of our patients and community.

      About us

      Five doctor GMS practice supported by excellent multi-skilled nursing and admin teams (3 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs)

      Single site independent practice

      Dynamic, interactive, innovative and welcoming practice providing primary care to one of the more socially deprived areas of Taunton

      Purpose built surgery with new purpose-built extension and free on-site parking.

      Rated by Severn Deanery as an Excellent training practice.

      The Practice Manager shall be responsible for improving the practices capability through the alignment of strategy, people, rewards, premises, IT, activity and management processes to ensure the efficient, effective and safe management of the Practice and its finances, and ensure the well-being of patients, doctors and staff, and the successful smooth running of the Practice.

      To manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, workforce and financial planning, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment. Through innovative ways of working, lead the team in Quality & Continuous Improvement, Confidentiality, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations.

      To provide good quality, up to date primary care services delivered in a clean, suitably equipped and safe environment.

      To support patients to proactively manage long-term conditions, from birth through to the end of life.

      To provide all patients with good access to our team and appropriate access to other NHS services.

      To be welcoming and helpful and to treat all patients with respect and dignity.

      To encourage & support patients in developing good quality services through the patient participation group and patient feedback.

      To follow principles of good employment practice.
